What customers say about us:

We built a passive house in Toronto in 2019-2020. This type of house requires a specialized heating/cooling and ventilation design. Mentor was able develop a comprehensive plan for implementation for our home. The complexities of designing heating, ventilation and cooling (HVAC) systems for a passive house in Canada are related to the fact that these types of homes are new to the Canadian building industry. Mentor developed our HVAC plan investigating and discussing the potential components with suppliers. He analyzed air flow as well as, heating / cooling requirements to ensure the system operated according to Passive House Canada specifications. The plan involved integrating a heat pump, humidifier, HRV and the innovation of a HEPA filtration. Mentor was available for consultation as needed when the system was being installed and afterwards for any questions about operations. We appreciated Mentor’s engineering expertise and congeniality when working with us and our architect throughout the project. We are pleased with the comfort of our home and we highly recommend Mentor for complex projects like ours.
